Marissa Jenna Estrada (she/her) is a Filipina and Pakistani-American graphic designer based in the Chicagoland area who utilizes vibrant colors, imagery, and text to create visually cohesive design projects from posters to branding identities. Some of her most passionate work advocates for the APIDA (Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi-American) community!
Marissa's love for visual storytelling brought her to Northern Illinois University to pursue her Bachelor's degree in both Visual Communication and Marketing. During this time, Marissa has sharpened both her design skills along with her critical thinking skills, leading her to pursue work that advocates for equity, sustainability, and justice. Through designing, Marissa seeks to deliver messages of empowerment for the underrepresented Asian-American community as well as encouraging others to embrace the duality within themselves.
In her free time, Marissa enjoys cooking and trying new foods, spending quality time with her dog, Honey, spending time with her family and friends, thrifting, traveling, playing Animal Crossing, and jumping into ball pits!
